  Matt Groening

Matthew Abram Groening was born in Portland, Oregan on February 15, 1954. His parents are Homer Groening and Margaret Groening.

In 1978, Matt debuted his first comic, "Life in Hell" with the main charecter Bongo, a one eared rabbit. And in 1980, his comic got a weekly spot in the Los Angeles Reader.

The Simpsons began as a one minute filler on a talk show called The Tracy Ullman Show in 1987. To see the titles of the shorts, look at the episode list on my site. But The Simpsons left The Tracy Ullman Show in late 1989.

The Simpsons got their own show that same year. The first episode that was released was "Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire". This is the Christmas special were The Simpsons get Santa's Little Helper. On the Simpsons Matt Groening is

He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife Deborah, and his son Homer. And don't forget about his pet ducks.

Some of Matt Groenings movie credits include "Olive, The Other Reindeer" and "Boo Boo Runs Wild".


 

  James L. Brooks

On May 9, 1940 James L. Brooks in North Bergan, New Jersey.

James was with the show since the beginning in 1989. He is a developer, producer, and executive producer. He is also the writter of the movie of The Simpsons that will probobly be coming out in November of 2008.

The first show that he worked on was when he was 20 years old. He was a writter on "The Andy Griffith Show". He has worked on 17 different shows, including "Taxi" in 1978, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" in 1970, and "The Critic" in 1994. He is the creater of the shows "Room 222", "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", "Rhoda", "Paul Sand In Friends and Lovers", "Lou Grant", "Taxi" and "The Associates".

He has also been invovled in many movies. He has directed Terms of Endearment, Broadcast News, I'll Do Anything, As Good As It Gets, and Spanglish. He also produced the movies Big and Jerry McGuire.


 

  Sam Simon

Sam Simon was with The Simpsons from the start. He is a writer, executive producer, and a developer.

He was only involved in the making of one movie, The Super. But he was involved in making very many shows. He was a writer and producer for "Cheers", he was the director of "Friends", plus he was a writer on "Taxi", also he was the director and a writer for "The Drew Carey Show", plus many many more. Also, he is the creator of "The George Carlin Show".

You may have seen him in Shanghai Noon, as the Chief's sidekick. If you like the show "Who Wants To Be A Millionare?", he was a phone-a-friend for Drew Carey and Norm MacDonald.
